Brief history of W A Deacons career
W A Deacon & Sons was established in 1952, by William Amos Deacon. It has always been a family business, to this day, and still is. We have carried out works on a number of National Trust properties throughout the years. We have long lasting customers, one of which we've been working with for the last 43 years. Roger (the director) was a bricklayer by trade (now 78 years old), but still holds a firm hand within the business and offers his expertise in all fields of the building trade.

Giles (Roger's son) is a skilled carpenter / cabinet maker, and continues to manage all of our ongoing projects on a day to day basis. He still gets on the tools occasionally, when he is needed.
We have 8 employed staff, varying from site foreman, skilled carpenters, brick layers, and general operatives. Our business also uses long standing subcontractors, of which we continue to use on suitable projects and where required.
Janine Deacon (Giles' wife), works in the office, carrying out all accountancy tasks, including VAT, PAYE, typing of tenders, invoicing and all the day to day running of the financial side of the business.

We are based in Lavenham, Suffolk. We have an office building and yard with all our own plant/machinery.
We look forward to working with you on your upcoming project!!
